Clone system settings

Unisphere allows an authorized user with appropriate access to manage system settings. Settings can also be cloned, that is, settings can be copied from one array and applied to one or more target arrays subject to compatibility checks.

Prerequisites

Only a user with Storage Administrator or Administrator permission can clone system settings.

About this task

You can copy settings from one array and apply it to one or more target arrays. You are warned if there is any incompatibility in settings between storage arrays. The supported settings are: Alert Policies, System Threshold and Alerts, Performance Threshold and Alerts, and Alert Level Notification settings.

To clone system settings:

Steps

  1. Select Settings icon to open the Settings panel.
  2. Click Expand icon and select Clone Settings.
  3. Select any number of the following setting types:
    • Alert Policies
    • System Thresholds and Alerts
    • Performance Thresholds and Alerts
    • Alert Level Notifications
    • Change Control Windows
  4. Select the source system.
  5. Optional: Select include incompatible arrays checkbox.
  6. Select one or more arrays.
  7. Click OK.
